Understanding how to pair an E550 might be a necessary step to ensure your property is ready for guests. Find a detailed process on how to pair this controller below:
1. Navigate to Properties and search for the property you need to pair.
2. Click on the property name to open the property container page.
3. Click the Settings tab located under the Property States and select Devices.
4. Click Pair Device and Add/Remove devices.
Note: You should see a 60-second countdown timer appear on the screen and the speaker light on the gateway should begin slowly blinking purple.
a. If the timer appears and the light begins to blink, continue to step 6.
b. If the timer does not appear or the speaker light does not change colors, hit the refresh button and try again.
6. Enter the following on the unit's Lock keypad: Master Code - Gear key/#- 7 - Gear key/#- 1 - Gear key/#. After a short pause, you should hear a success chime from the lock.
7. On the screen, let the countdown continue until it completes to see the device appear in the device list below.
8. After a progress indicator appears, press the refresh button occasionally to see the progress move up to 100%.
9. Once this is complete, press the Poll button to test the communication with the lock. You should see a green button indicating OK.
10. Refresh your browser and click on the Lock tab under Settings.
11. Continue to pair the next device if there are other Z-Wave devices at the property.
Note: If there is more than one lock on the property, it's best to name each lock by door location (e.g., Front Door).
