There are multiple ways to set up and send notifications from the BeHome247 dashboard. It's best to explain this process at a global level in the Settings section and move down to property containers in the Properties section.
Note: BeHome247 allows you to notify and message guests, cleaners, vendors, inspectors, and management. It's important to set up these notifications correctly to avoid sending messages to the wrong party.
Global Settings
If you'd like your guests to receive notifications, the place to set this up would be in the Global Settings tab in the Settings section. Once inside this tab, you can scroll down to find the section titled Guest Notifications and find three options to enable for guests:
- Notify Guest when Property is ready
- Send emergency codes automatically
- Send Check Out links
Note: Place a checkmark in the notification you'd like to enable for guests.
Property Groups
Property groups do play a role in the overall messaging function inside BeHome247. If you have your properties divided into groups, you will be able to select which particular guests, properties, cleaners, and inspectors get a message by selecting the specific group found under Notifications inside the Property Groups tab in Settings.
If you have created property groups:
1. Click on the blue Settings button on the right side of the property group.
2. Click on the Notifications tab.
3. Under the specific notification, place a checkmark next to the user that you would like to notify once the activity occurs.
Note: Visit the Notifications tab in the Property Group's Settings button to become familiar with all available notifications inside your BeHome247 instance.
Guest Connect
You can set up your guest connection settings inside the Guest Connect tab in the Settings section. You'll see the following options in this tab:
- Configure your Guest Connect app: send out your company’s specific guest connection link
- Include a URL for your company logo
- Set up a welcome message for guests to see when they access the app for the first time
- Set up a post-departure message
Note: Please remember that this is a global setting, and configuring it will reflect on all properties.
Messaging
The Messaging tab in the Settings section allows you to create customized messages that can be used on an individual property level. The message customization section has a wide variety of items that you can use to:
- Create a message
- Upload an image
- Use emoticons, different fonts, and text features
- Insert HTML coding
You can create templates for just about any type of message that can be selected later in the individual property container settings.
Property Containers
You can automatically set up notifications in the Properties section inside property containers to streamline communication when units are changing hands from cleaners to inspectors or when others are completing their daily assignments.
Some examples of messages you can set up include:
- Informing a cleaner that a home is ready for cleaning
- Notifying an inspector that a unit has been cleaned and is ready for QA
- Sending created forms to any vendor, cleaner, or inspector for quality assurance
Overall notifications for each property are located in the Settings tab inside each property page. Each property has notifications managed on a group level and a property level.
There are three sections inside the property container settings to set up notifications:
1. Housekeeping: This section allows you to create any housekeeping instructions to send to the cleaner when there is a cleaning assigned to them. You can also assign a permanent cleaner to the property and include the cleaning cost for invoicing purposes.
2. Notifications: Once a user has been created, scroll down to the notification to which you would like to add them, and select them from the dropdown. Once they're selected, they will get an SMS notification every time the action occurs.
Note: Users must be added to the account and verified via email and/or text to receive alerts. Find instructions on how to create a user here.
3. Messaging: This section is where you select the already created templates inside the Messaging tab in Global Settings or decide to create a property-specific message.
Note: If you have any questions about notifications, please submit a support ticket or contact your account manager.
